While he considers himself as an attacking full-back, the 19-year-old has helped shore up a Northampton defence that had been leaking goals prior to his arrival.

Asked if he’d be interested in prolonging his stay at the Cobblers, Furlong replied: “Yes, definitely.

Your right west, one bad game for our players then everyone wants them out the door, it's young talent like him what we should have in our squad instead off benifiting other clubs,, am just wondering if it's a happy ship at HQ

Poor management with that boy should have never been exposed to Bolasie and Sanchez.. How unfair.. Two of the inform players that season.. And to top it off playing SWP to 'cover him'

This will help gain some confidence, best of luck to him.

It's a nightmare scenario...... How to blood up and coming youngsters into a struggling and disjointed team with low morale? I think it would set Darnell back if he was thrown into our current team. Loan him out until we have a reasonably settled and harmonious squad to bring him into..... Late 2017 probably.
