Real disappointment when we have so little strikers & a real talented goal scorer in this guy over a waste man like PolterUnder Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
And many more mistakes
LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Interesting one Blackwood. Appears that he has something, has scored goals wherever he's been and a couple of crackers for our reserves and in pre-season. The problem is the gulf in standard between where he has played before and our first team. The guy played for Barnet before heading over to the US, playing in the US Collgiate system, playing a few times for U21/U23 sides and sides outside of the US top flight. In reality he has never played anything better than conference standard. That isn't to say he can't make it at the top level but we have to appreciate that there will be gaps in his development!Originally posted by wortonranger View PostI was chatting with one of his teammates last week who told me that his attitude was good but he needs to work on his hold up play. Will be interesting to see if he's right.

Winds me up and happens all the time, struggling league 1 and 2 clubs take These youngsters on loan from the championship and prem clubs then give them a game or two if there lucky, trying to judge a player in 1 or 2 games is ridiculous , but fortunately that's the world of football at this moment in time, money has ruined the game in that respect , no-one has any patience now with development of teams or players , its all instant results now. Im sure some of these clubs just take some of them to boost the numbers around the team with no intention of developing other teams players. There's a new style of loan now from most of the prem league teams anyway , they pay the loan players salary in full but the team must play there player for a certain number of games unless the youngster is really struggling then he can be recalled, good idea in my eyes , will help clubs lower down the leagues and will give these lads more game time.

Ah ok, i have no idea how much time he got there. Just guess work really, but surely he would look a class above them in training at least to be getting first team startsOriginally posted by Kevin Mcleod View PostThey gave him one sub appearance and he scored as far as I know, not certain though.

Came on as second half sub (61), and scored in a 1-0 win. His first game for them. Next game he played the full match. they lost 3-0. Then they got a new manager. Next game he comes on as a second half sub (65), after they had just gone behind. They score to make it 1-1, not sure if he was involved in the build up to the goal though. All in all he got around 150 minutes of first team football in league 2 and scored one goal.Originally posted by Kevin Mcleod View PostThey gave him one sub appearance and he scored as far as I know, not certain though.

He gave him 25 minutes plus stoppage time...Originally posted by Kevin Mcleod View PostHe's coming back, the manager who took him on got sacked and the new manager Sheridan hasn't played him once. Felt really sorry for him when I read a quote from Sheridan saying all he's doing is sitting in a hotel on his own. Come home son, we want you.
