I think Poulter can play there, give him 90 minutes to show us.

Agree but the pace of Gayle could be a good option
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

The stats would suggest Austin was more prolific in his 1 and only season in the Prem than Cisse was (Think Cisse's best season was 10 goals in a season with Sunderland). However, when he was 1 on 1 it was never in doubt that Cisse would score. Shame that for 99% of the game, he'd do absolutely sod all and contribute very little else.

i completely undertsand the OP'S concern.

Can he play up front on his own - YES....
Can he play up front on his own with the way we play....NO.

think we have a habit o going direct quickly. No problem in this but we really need a unit up front if we are going to do that. Poulter does seem that type of player and i like what iv sen of him so far.

I do agree that a little man up top probably wouldnt work for us.

Some truth in that. Hooper probably more of a Charlie type player.

I see he has gone to Sheffield Wednesday......Surely better options out there for him?

I knew they were interested, is that done and dusted? Maybe not in Charlie's class but a lot, lot better than Best with a good record at Champ level and must admit I was thinking of him as a possible last ditch replacement if Charlie goes.
