    Today (QPR Tickets Winner)

I'd like to thank Smarkets for the tickets in B Block SA Road. I've not been up there for a while!

I took my wife for the first time in 10 years.

We started well with a quick break down the right wing from Matty Phillips, the cross to Charlie was cleared for a corner. A bright start which went flat after that.

Rotherham looked dire tbf, a better team may have punished some of our mistakes.

Toward the end of the half a brilliant bit of inter-play teed up Chery in the box to curl home. A relief to go in 1-0 up.

I told my wife that when we attack the loft in the second half we usually step up a couple of gears which we did.

We eased to a 3-0 lead without too much effort and Rotherham still looked pony.

Another error at the back let Rotherham back in, and yet more poor defending for the corner late on and back to 3-2. Squeaky bum time. So when Charlie stroked the penalty away that was a great relief and three points!

For what it's worth here's my summary.

The chief and Hall looked decent at the back. Perch could be ok after a few more games. We definitely need to shore up the back to stop giving away lame goals.

Chery is superb, hardly a foot wrong and will cause damage.

Phillips good, but kept switching wings for some reason.

Austin was not great today but took his two goals well. When he is in form he will rip this division a new one, hope we keep him.

Ramsey was right to take off Faurlin who kept falling over and losing the ball, not sure whether that is tiredness or injury creeping in again (hope not) he looked ok up to that point.

Poulter ok when he came on, will win most balls in the air, and can be a danger going forward.

Remove Charlie and Matty from the team will kill confidence in our team. We have a good nucleus of a side here, however the uncertainty of knowing if we need to replace those two could affect things. Lets hope replacements are lined up if needed.

We are too good to be relegated with or without Matty and Charlie.

I forgot to say it was emotional seeing Stan come out before the game, still looked in good form.

Cheers Harry, Stan played in my first ever match I saw back in 77/8 and often saw him at the Bush and Brentford over the years. Good to see he was in good spirits today.

I totally forgot about the programme you got me for the Dundee Utd friendly. Hope you are not put out by that. Will be there on Tuesday night also if you're about. All the best

I got a pm from Smarkets even they stated that they prefer to give away tickets to real fans rather than backers.

Smarkets is not like your average bookie, it is an exchange bookie, so you can back against a team winning, so you get the both the draw and loss. I'm not a huge gambler however like a football acca every weekend for a few quid. The lottery is two quid these days!
