At the end of the game Greeno made a point of coming over to the fans gave his shirt to a young lad in the front row and clapped the rangers faithful. Looked like he was saying goodbye to me. Think we wont see him on Saturday.

What an ungrateful and pathetic response. Green has been a great player for us. He was treated bad by Hughes who brought him in only to immediately replace him with the hapless Cesar. Green stuck around and didnt throw his toys out the pram like McCarthy did either. He's since been nothing short of superb between the sticks for us and is the reason that a few times the score lines last season were kept more respectable than they had any right to be.

We all want the club to progress and to look to the future, but how dare you dismiss Green like he's a SWP or a Bosingwa. He doesn’t deserve that AT all. He's been a model professional and a top player for us. Show some Fing respect.

Although I agree with most of this there were 50,000 reasons why Greeno didn't leave as he would never be paid that level of salary at any other club!!! Given that he has been the model professional by playing for the shirt. If only his distribution was better he'd been a top top keeper.

Regards OP, doesn't Green pretty much do that after every game anyway?

Tbh it's no secret I am a massive Green fan, but if we can get a small fee for him & guarentee to have a decent young keeper replace him (namely that Southend lad) then I wouldn't be too against it. However, if we let ihm go & don't have a replacement already set to come in, we are just asking for trouble & would be suicidal, especially having already let McCarthy go.

Absolutely. There have been many a #### taker at this club in recent years who more than deserve a frosty reception should they ever be unfortunate enough to have to return and face the fans they mocked with their greed and laziness. Green, Austin and Phillips are not in that catagory.

I'm sick of this spoilt brat attitude some of our fans have adopted in recent years. The same #####s that boo'd Austin and are quick to dismiss Green in favour of a lower league goalkeeper who realistically nobody really knows much about just because he's younger will feel pretty stupid if Bentley turns out to be a flop and we dont replace Austin.

He is a good professional but more importantly i am not a fan of his keeping skills hence why I'm saying bye bye.
No need to get emotional.. great pro, great shot stopper outside the box but thats about it IMO.... Can't kick, cant catch, can't protect his near post, cant come for corners, cant judge when to come out at the right time.
