The take over was huge we would of got relegated without it. I am a big fan of Gianni and I think he deserves more respect then he actually gets on this board for selling what was a dead horse at the time.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Didn't we have a bigger average in the Lge 1 Promotion Season? ...it would all depend on how well we we're doing in the league.

I've been going for 30+ years and we've always averaged around 12k ...the biggest average gate I've known as a fan was the League 1 promotion season.

Yep, League 1 promotion season average was over 16k I believe. Could be wrong though.

Irrelevant as we'd still be in the Championship or League 1 at worse.

No need to preface the poll with "If we hadn't been taken over..."

                        Utterly irrelevant.

                          16,900 in the promotion year.

15,900 season before it.(Play off final)

                          All attendances 1992 - 1996 exceeded that

Promotion season 82/83 was c. 14,000 and same for thereafter

                          75/76 was 22,000 and 76/77 was 19,000

Reality is the season we went up, it hit 18,000 near the end, when everyone knew we would probably go up.

Being a medoicre team in Div 1 and lets say being in Southampton's position, we would be lucky to get 7,000
