There have been literally THOUSANDS of similar threads over the years whereby a poster rates a player, thinks he'd be a good signing, and posts a thread on the subject - often saying "< insert player's name > - thoughts?"..."discuss" etc...

It's part and parcel of messageboards, so keep it up Swede and appreciate the info

A "crazy statement" which is obviously your opinion and to which you are fully entitled to; the converse of which the OP (who may have seen a lot more of the player) is fully entitled to disagree with.

What if I had stuck up a video of a young player at Hayes? League is MUCH worse than Scottish Premiership and hardly anyone would know anything about him let alone having seen him.

Weird how he went on to be sold for £6mil, play for England and return as DOF

I'll hold my hands up. Shouldnt have said "threads like this shouldnt be allowed" (even if I think they are pointless) but it was infact the way in which the OP then went on to adamently say this guy was better than Gray that got my back up. Thats opinion (a wrong one at that) and not fact. This is why i've called them out on it. You can suggest players but if nobody has heard of them and they are playing in a tin pot league then you shouldnt be then making silly comments about them being better than a genuine target of ours who has actually proven himself in this league. Madness.

For every Peter Van Moen there's an Ole Gunner Solkaer to disprove this theory - so he might play in a tin pot league now but that doesn't mean he "definitely" wont be able to make the step up to Championship level as many Scandinavians players have done so in the past. This in my humble opinion is not madness but FACT based on past history.

Is there though? I'm sure there is a lot more cr*p players in the Scandinavian leagues than there are good ones.

Not digging you out by the way, would say the same about the Scottish, Dutch, Belgian leagues etc. As well as that, this guy isn't Scandinavian, he's from Sierra Leone isn't he? Looks a load of pap too so I don't even know why we're all wasting our time arguing over him!

So just out of genuine interest... If I now decided to dedicate some time towards looking through stats and statistics from goal scorers from the Romanian, Maltese, Bulgarian and Lithuanian leagues, found youtube clips of some of the strikers and decided to bombard this board with posts of said players suggesting they were better than Charlie Austin, Andre Gray etc etc that people would be ok with that?

Tbf Les had a decent goalscoring record at Hayes for a kid. This guy has 3 goals in 17 games.... And for every Les or Sam Johnson we pluck there's 10,000 Troy Hewitts.
