How can they afford these players when they have no parachute payments? FFP? Downing and Lambert must be on a massive wedge.

Wouldn't say that. Lambert will no doubt be rusty and not the player he was because he's hardly played for a year and not young. Anyway, even if he does well, will only be filling the hole left by Bamford.
