Heard that too Kev and hope its true. Unless we drop out asking price, which I hope we do not, I think he will stay. If others are f annying around then we should show him our love and appreciation by slapping another contract in front of him and telling him now he gets mega pay increase and bonus if we go upOriginally posted by Kevin Mcleod View PostJust popped down the shops and always have talksport on the radio and there was a football agent doing a talk on chaz and he said it's all hype and only one club has bid for him (he said Norwich but sure he meant liecester), and that nobody else is really going mad for him as they fear he won't pass a medical cos of the knee problem!

Fair enough mate wasn't 100% sure.Originally posted by stanistheman View PostHe can only sign a pre
contract with a foreign club in January.
Hoping he will stay we will push on and sign a new deal end of next season. I am in my second beer of the night so am pretty optimistic right now

If only he would. Still don't know why he was only offeted a 3 year deal when Phillips got 4.Originally posted by QPRDave View PostI'd like to see Charlie sign an extension with us. I know he's saying concentrating on Rangers and here until told otherwise
but committing to us would help put us in a stronger position, now or in January

He wont sign up with that clause mate as no one is willing to offer £15mil after a blinding season in top flight they wont pay it after being in champOriginally posted by QPRDave View PostDon't understand tbh Stan. If he is as happy as he says he is, sign up and insert a clause he can speak to a club if £20 mill offered
To get him to sign we prob need to say release clause of £10-12mil (value clubs will play) if we don't do up this season; if we do clause does not apply at all. Think we should nit bullet at that and back ourselves to get promoted

The difference with Austin and Remy is that Remy wanted out and obviously made it clear he did. I think that's why a last minute deal was done.
If the reports about Charlie are true, that he is leaving it to his agent and the club to sort out and would be happy to kick on with QPR come the start of the season, then I assume he and the club will do their best to avoid a last minute deal that would leave the club in a 'difficult' position.
It's likely that he'll go as a goal scoring record like his doesn't get overshadowed by a possible knee problem. If the big clubs wanted to, they could easily afford the gamble (if you could call it that).

You say that, but Liverpool had a deal agreed for Remy for the ludicrous bargain price of only £8m, which was his release Claus, and then rejected him on a medical...... If ever a gamble was worth taking, that was it. Who knows, maybe there are wider insurance issues if they breach their medical standards for one player, it could raise doubts about their process in general and create a loophole for the insurance company to use should any player have to retire early due to an injury.Originally posted by OneEyedWilly View PostThe difference with Austin and Remy is that Remy wanted out and obviously made it clear he did.
