Hooper would be a good replacement. Given game time he's a 15-20 goal a season forward at this level. Got 12 last season but came off the bench for half the games he played inComment

[QUOTE=MattyRangers;1433491]The failed medical at Hull was due to him having had a knee op when he was 14 or so. His injury in our promotion season was his shoulder & totally unrelated.

This was my reaction when I read this earlier today, which again highlights lazy journalism.
As for their bid, that should flatly be rejected.
£15M imo is too cheap anyway, so accepting less is an absolute no.Comment

I'd take the offer . Big money off the wage bill and even if the board pocket the 4 million outlay we would in theory have an additional 10 million quid in the pot to spend . That could bring in a couple of very good players at this level and gives us a month to bring them in . Throw in a buy back clause if the clubs swap places next year . Job done IMHOComment

Hooper is a funny one. Looked like he had the potential to kick on and be a top class striker but his career has really stalled at Norwich, hasn't really done well consistently for them either in the Prem or the Championship. Probably also comes with fairly hefty wage demands.
Maybe he just needs a move to get his career back on track or maybe his best days are already behind him. Would certainly be a punt either way!Comment

Problem is to get any of these players as a swap we need 1) Charlie to want to join the team 2) The player to want to join us. I think this would be difficult.
I'd love one of the Palace forwards though: Gayle, Campbell or even Murray for an increased feeComment

Doubt either Bournemouth or Wilson want him going anywhereComment
