The guy looks prolific in the attack, has vision, pace, and can take free kicks. Trust me, I'm not being negative at all, can't stand those people on here, but why 2.25M? Admittedly know nothing really about the Dutch league. A guy scoring this much and and has been named to the dutch roster, the fee almost seems low to me? Is there a catch? Injury history? What is the typical range for players of this caliber in the Everdise?

I think its pretty fair tbh. He only has 1 year left on his deal plus he hasnt actually been capped for Holland whereas Clasie just signed for southampton for £8.5 mill has 11 caps for Holland, younger, is more established in European football and had multiple years left on his deal.

May just be because he's only really hit great form, looking at his stats he's never really had an outstanding goal scoring record?

I don't really have any knowledge of Dutch football but perhaps Gronigen aren't the wealthiest club about and it's a great deal for them. Either way he looks a great and exciting player!

Seems like a more than capable big game player and with good players around him, is likely to get involved a lot. he was involved in 21 goals out of his club's 49 (43% involvement) which is pretty big (especially given that he is a midfielder and most of them were goals) and could soften the blow of losing Austin and Fer.

Same reason Austin is only worth 15 mil to clubs, 1 year left on his contract. Has only had 2 injury issues in his career. missed 10 days in April 2014 due to a malleolar injury (2 Matches) and 20 days in November 2013 (0 matches). No real history in that. I'll look into Eredivisie transfers outside of the top two to see if there is a low fee precedent over the last few years.

The usual suspects and the rangers fans on here who only love them to hate them aint in here, and wont like what im going to say, but this is an amazing signing by the looks of it. A promising young dutch player on the verge of the national team, whos got a great record already for two million quid. This is what the club is about now, and what the people who dont coat the club, and the people who do have both been crying out for this sort of action for four years. Well done rangers, well bloody done.

                        Looks an interesting prospect.

Nice to see we have some sort of scouting network as opposed to the buying known players under that scumbag arry.

2mill is jack as well in the grand scheme of things!!!

                        Fingers crossed

It's a fair price tbh. There is real value in the European leagues, there just isn't the money for players to go for the rates you see here unless they're really something special. The Premiership distorts prices over here, our teams have truly got more money than sense.

Really hope we get this one finalised and keep shopping in Europe.
