My brother drives a hovercraft on the Dover - Calais route and he saw Barton going to France today, probably back to Marseille. He says Barton was quite seasick and slipped and fell into a bunch of eels because the hovercraft was full of them. Make of that what you will.

Only thing that admittedly bugs me is the pathetic "twitter" rumours from the obviously fake "it the know"twitter aco#####. But, in fairness, the mods have created a seperate thread for that nonsense so it's easily avoidable now.
