Sterling - could be big news for us too!

just broke on SSN he's going to turn down new Liverpool contract and doesn't want to be there.

Could be really beneficial to us financially with our 20% sell on clause. He's got two years left on his contract and if he was sold for 40-50 mill we would pocket a nice 8-10 mill.

Let's hope player power wins against the clubs desire to keep him.

My only worry is this rumour of a swap deal with walcott. If the valuations of the transfer are massively decreased (which is in both clubs interest as they both will owe sell on fees) then the amount we get would be significantly smaller. Similar happened with the Sigurdsson deal to swansea, Spurs got Vorm as part of the deal and it was declared as a free transfer/£0 value and thus Vorm's former club Utrecht got nothing for their 20% sell on even though he was Swansea's 1st choice keeper and worth a few million

They will take cash. As said above you don't get value for money with a swap

And if arsenal have aspirations to win league they get Stirling and keep theo too

I have this horrible feeling he might end up at scum not arsenal. Sterling is a class player. He's carried Liverpool this year as a 20 year old. That's not a overrated player that's a talent and a half.

Liverpool shouldn't be surprised by his behaviour, they did exactly the same to us to get him

Over rated player, a lot of Liverpool fans don't rate him.

He's acting like a right c***, great news for us though BBC reporting Liverpool will do business for £35m which will see us take a £7M cut
I should probably write something insightful here

Has anyone from the club ever confirmed this 20% sell on clause or is it all just rumour from the Paladini era?
