Imagine this squad starting out next year in the Championship:

Starters:
McCarthy (Green will go for the green at Chelsea or another PL club)
Furlong (he's gonna be a real solid player in this game)
Caulker (needs a season where he's not facing PL relegation)
Onouha (the chief restores pride in the QPR tribe)
Yun (REALLY like this player)
Phillips (could be a big scorer for us next year)
Fer (playing where he should; in the middle slotted behind the strikers)
Barton (a leader who's all in on the field)
Sandro (if he goes injury free, better than most at this level)
Zamora (one more time)
New Striker with speed to be named (Charlie will bid us a fond adieu)

Substitutes:
Murphy (could finally get some playing time)
Dunne (the farewell season; he's got one more in the tank)
Hoilett (maybe never PL worthy, but can shake things up here)
Henry (Mr Steady who's notmyet good enough to merit serious PL attention from another club)
Patrasso (groom for the future)
Doughty (ditto above)
Taarabt (to forestall end of his playing career)

I liked that team right up to Fer who we would be very lucky to keep!

Players like barton, Sandro and Zamora need to be moved on and time for a fresh start. If we lose them players and say Austin we must keep players like Matty phillips and build the team around him! Would be a massive asset to us in the championship.
I agree keeping caulker for a year would be a good move and also think he doesn't need another move right now and actually a year playing in a winning team would actually serve him well.

Importantly we would have a ready made championship defence in place. We would just need major surgery in midfield and upfront! It's so important if we lose Austin we find another gem of a striker like a Wilson at Bournemouth!

How anyone can give Zamora "one more time" is absolutely beyond me. Can't shoot, can't score, can't win a header against a defender....total can't!

If we go back to the Championship we will field a very youthful side in my opinion , 3/4 of our 21s will be given a go and not just the odd game or two.

apparently there are 4 Premier sides interested in Ned, Fer and Charlie unfortunately will go. Green, if we get some dosh would suit both parties if he leaves. Don't want to see SWP, Hoilett, Barton or Bobby next season

Just for some perspective - look at Fulham. They've got a much better academy than we do and have struggled all season.

We'll lose Isla, Vargas, Adel, Fer & Austin 100%. Sandro probably sent on loan. Barton & Henry will be 33 next season, Zamora 35, Dunne 36, Hill 37...

Fulham have struggled but they haven't got many regular experienced players other than Parker, Rodellaga and McCormack

I would bet we would be able to field at least 7 Championship experienced players each game - McCarthy, Yun, Ned, Phillips, Barton, Henry, Caulker....
