Something well dodgy with that deal. Dunno how we got away with it tbh..... Maybe Gianni came back and oversaw that

Yeah I was always suspicious of that deal. I reckoned when we sold him that the deal was actually a loan with an agreed perm deal if we stayed up. I dont know how the russian team paid £12m for him after the half season he had with us unless they dont get match of the day. Plus I'm pretty sure Samba was saying he was leaving russsia for family reasons etc.

        Charlie is worth 10,

Green for 2 is great business seeing as we have McCarthy already at QPR
        Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
        And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

2 million for a 35 years old is a good business, if that going to happen

3 appearances in 5 years whilst in his prime - years he will never get back. Extraordinary. That's the modern-day footballer for you.

Good coin for Green. Good keeper but think McCarthy needs a go in the team.

As for Charlie, doubt if we would get £10m if we go down. It's alright everyone saying keep him and let him go on a free but will he want to stay with us if relegated? I'm not sure he will. He has no loyalties to us. I wouldn't hold it against him if he wants to go.

Everything is geared to you staying up as we found out with Fer...

Only us fans are loyal imo.

You'll be getting Fer back when you win the play-offs!

                    Totally agree.
Silly offers like that are not even worth thinking about.
Austin is not on big wages and would be worth holding on to as his goals will make a promotion challenge a realistic option.

If we don't get what Austin is worth he don't go plain and simple even if he is unhappy. We're not a charity if he don'tike it tough score some goals and bring us back up

Although I agree with the sentiment, unfortunately if Austin sulks and has a bad season, we will probably not get promoted and we lose him on a free transfer.

My prediction is £11 mill but I wouldn't be surprised if it is announced as undisclosed to restrict any backlash.

Saw in the paper today that Barcelona want a "big man" to play up front; seems they're fed up with all that ticky-tacky midget stuff with a false No.9..... We only need a couple of clubs to be interested for the fee to start nudging up and it'd be pretty cool if Barca started showing an interest in Charlie.
