Just coz one person would like Mackie and Simmo back. Arguably players we should never have let go , posters start banging on about bringing the entire old squad back. Its just mackie and/or Simpson would you have one or both or none of those back in the Championship?

I'd have back Mackie in the Championship, but he isn't going to cut it in the Prem. We need a few of them, but a team of grafters will only get you so far. I'm sure he looked good against Bradford but we should be aiming higher, they're in League 1 for a reason.

Core some on here are a little sensitive - put a message up on here about mackie - a proven championship player who I also think could cut it in the prem and still a good age and that means i would obviously want buszCky back, Tommy smith and might as well get Derry and Orr out of retirement too!

How ridiculous! Mackie would improve our squad and add something to it - also people write him off as a prem league player need to look at the teams around us this year and just how poor they are!!

if mackie wants to play for us, then he should get a shout. the man gives everything for the shirt every time he pulls it on. the only downside is that he should definitely be dropped if and when we get back out of the championship.

Mackie scored some useful goals granted but he is nowhere near a Premiership standard player. Those that watched him week in/week out knew he had nowhere near enough quality despite obvious effort and desire.

Those that said he was a Prem standard player/still think he is should keep in mind he can't get in a mid table Championship Forest team and is on loan playing for a lower end Championship team in Reading ( who he doesnt always start for ). He scores 1 goal on tv against the mighty League 1 Bradford and all of a sudden he should be back at QPR. You can only laugh.

Mackie would struggle to hold down a regular 1st XI spot in a top 6 Championship club.... As for this "good attitude" stuff; I reckon 90% of players have a decent attitude but our problem is that the pillocks running our club have managed to buy too many head cases from the 10% pool of bad apples.

He's not prem standard Sammy i agree but thats the whole point. He would still walk into our current team. Lacks ability but makes up for it in endeavour. Decent Championship player and i would take him over all but 3 or 4 of the current useless ######s we have in our squad.

Shouldn't have let him go in the first place. Too many people wrote him off as not good enough, truth is he would have done a lot more good than most of the crowd we shipped in.
2011-2013, 2 seasons in the Premiership, 76 games, 14 wins........two years of my life I'll never get back!!

2013/2014 mediocrity topped off with a win at Wembley....

2014/2015 was pretty much the same as 2011-2013.....

                    2015/2016, average at best.....

                    2016/2017, same old, same old....

                    2017/2018, aim low, avoid disappointment!

Its the hope that kills you!

I bet loads on here wouldn't have wanted Delaney or Puncheon in the PL but they were a class apart from us on Saturday.

Nothing wrong with having Jamie Mackie back at the club....certainly would do more for the team than SWP, Hoilett and, dare I mention, Zamora

I disagree he wasn't up to it and certainly top 6 championship club is harsh!!! He's been playing well for reading since Clarke joined and this morning he was on talk sport and there were a lot of texts from forests fans saying they should of kept hom and Pearce was stupid to let him go!

I watched him week in week out and he was absolutely fine - thing is when I watch qpr I don't expect us to have a starting 11 of the best players in the world and when I watched mackie he would chase everything down, defend and attack, make defenders feel uneasy and score a few goals and guess what he done that in the prem to and scored against some of the biggest clubs in the country.

The boy was shifted out as he was deamed fancy enough and we thought the likes of swp was the way forward - part of the time we lost our identity!! Mackie is more than good enough for a top champ team and prem wise imo would more than hold his own in a lower half prem team which we are!

Quite simply if that was true he would be. I think the fact a mid table Championship team have deemed him not good enough and loaned him out to a lower half Championship team might suggest he is certainly not good enough for the Premiership and arguably a top 6 Championship side.

Seemed to do ok I'm the only season qpr have survived in the prem . In fact I remembef him hunting down liverpools defence when all seemed lost a few seasons back. You don't have to be the best footballer sometimes you just have to show that your interested and that you want it . Something the vast majority of our squad can't be accused of
