Furlong can continue at rightback and Isla playing somewhere in midfield? Even centrally? Doesn´t he play there for Chile??

Yes he does, so he can cover in the centre seeing as that's where we're short.

Phillips needs to keep his place on the right.

Hope he gets a run in the side now, well pleased with Ramsey for giving the youngsters a chance. Absolute waste of time having a youth set up with Redknapp about.

Lol, quality post! I remember seeing Stan Collymore in a reserve game at LR playing for Palace, I was laughing he was so poor, couldn't believe it was the same player a few years later playing for Southend.
              Kept the faith!

Truly shocked that some on here are suggesting his "pour touch" get Barton sent off. Dear oh dear. He's not the first player to mis control a football but the challenge was only ever going to get him a yellow and if that had been the end of it, no one would even be debating that he had one poor touch on his debut. Of course because the massive c0ck that is Barton stole the show for all the wrong reasons we now have a debate about it and some even blame him for Barton getting sent off

                      Very true Blue.

I thought it was a fantastic performance for a 19 year old.. He did no worse then others we have had playing there.
I think he needs to fill out a little bit more but by the looks of it we have a promising young full back in our books...
