Most clubs do that ffs. Very difficult to find people for the CEO role with a good reputation in the sport who would be willing to leave their role at the moment."What stats allow you to do is not take things at face value. The idea that I trust my eyes more than the stats, I just don't buy that because I've seen magicians pull rabbits out of hats and I know I just know that rabbit's not in there." - Billy Beane

I would hope that Les is not responsible for Phil Beard going or indeed take over his responsibilities. Personally I would be uncomfortable with one person having control of all player transfers, manager hiring, staff recruitment, club development, commercial activity and so on. We've been there before with Mike Rigg and look how that turned out

Wouldnt surprise me if that is the scenario. TF throws all his eggs in one basket and leaves it all up to Les, then if it goes wrong....Originally posted by oldskoolturk View PostI would hope that Les is not responsible for Phil Beard going or indeed take over his responsibilities. I think those fears can be allayed:Originally posted by oldskoolturk View PostI would hope that Les is not responsible for Phil Beard going or indeed take over his responsibilities. QPR Chairman, Tony Fernandes, told www.qpr.co.uk:
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Phil for his contribution to QPR and wish him well for the future. In the short term we will continue to liaise with Phil regarding our long-term projects, ensuring a smooth transitional period prior to making a new appointment."
Devlin or Dein both great shouts V.

Yea because setting up the O2 project needed someone incompetent. Honestly, you need to realise that he was a very good appointment that didn't work out as brilliantly as we would have liked, simple as that.Originally posted by vblockranger View PostHow about finding one the slightest bit competent? that would be a start"What stats allow you to do is not take things at face value. I don't think the premier league specifically agree with the fine, so if we stay up, I got the impression the fine is not going to happen. Most other premiership teams make a loss so there would be too much pressure on the premier league.Originally posted by Rangersw12 View PostWe will still be liable for the fine even if we stay up this year
as for B I agree but the point is at the moment QPR are 150 million in debt going by the accounts so the board saying they will write it off ( will believe that when I see it) is irrelevant

He was an awful appointment mate and the contracts he negotiated with players past and present proves that. Maybe if we was a few months away from a new stadium he may have been the man to listen too. What makes you think the appointment was a good one? just askingOriginally posted by nasser95 View PostYea because setting up the O2 project needed someone incompetent. I just feel that at the time, his experience running long term projects and his success with them (the O2 being the highlight) would suggest that he would be capable of leading the club in a positive direction forward. In hindsight - the key factor in your opinion - he made some errors in contracts and I'm not disagreeing with that, but he offered experience of the sort of thing we wanted from a CEO as a developing club.Originally posted by vblockranger View PostHe was an awful appointment mate and the contracts he negotiated with players past and present proves that.
