No one can say he isn't a nice guy, but you need to be a ruthless barsteward in this game. The bloke just wants to be loved by everyone and gets made a mug. As much as I hated Flavio Briatore and his regime, I couldn't see him being taken for a ride by managers and players alike.

Spot on. You would've thought that such a successful businessman would have a ruthless streak in him. Until he stops craving adoration from the fans and paying too much attention to the ideas of football agents or Redknapp and his cronies, nothing will change.

Fernandes is guilty of one thing..being too naive! He has put his wealth and business reputation on the line for our club and been kicked in the bollx for being too enthusiastic. We last won a meaningful trophy well over 40 years ago and seem to suffer from delusions of grandeur as fans! When will it be commonly agreed that we are Qpr fans because we enjoy the odd bits of ecstasy even more due to our pre determined nature of always being the underdog.

You're not wrong there, however I've always thought that the manager should be the one highlighting the players he wants, not anyone else as then it's not his team.

I'd rather Harry get in his loans and then let the new manager buy who he wants when he comes in.

Surely it's down to the manager to put a team out that is capable and prepared to perform well. When you are consistently not achieving the expected results I really think you have to look beyond individual players and question why the group as a whole is not performing.
