Would rather go for someone like Andre Gray who is looking a prospect, Young & would be ideal should we drop.
Id stay at Brentford if I was Andre Grey.

Yeah but we needed another striker last January and ended up with Maiga, Doyle and some other diddly-o's whose names I don't recall.

It has to be quality or just not worth bothering with IMO.

3.5 mill & Campbell would be a great deal. I believe QPR will go down & Campbell would be valuable next season
          Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
          And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Campbell always seems to knock a few goals in when he arrives at a club then barely scores after that.

Agree jim. If we are going to let Mutch go at least invest the money in a player with potential rather than a striker that doesn't score. Andre Gray would be nice.

THIS. Campbell not great in the Prem but would be useful for next season in the Champ

No,no,no!! Campbell is not good enough, An average championship striker at best. Man U, Spurs, Hull, Cardiff, Sunderland and Palace, doesn't hang around for too long anywhere, spends most of the time nailed to the bench, keep Mutch and leave Campbell where he is please!!!

Would rather us sign that Akpom lad on loan from Arsenal... He looked handy the other night against Brighton

FFS. Here we are on the 27th of January and there is now talk of signing this perennial failure.

I can only hope it's someone's idea of a bad joke.

Don't mind Campbell if I'm honest.

No world beater but god forbid Charlie got crocked I reckon him and Zamora up top would be quite useful. He has pace which we lack in bundles.

If true this is everything that's wrong with our club.

Campbell was available at the start of season for 700k (buy out clause) if Redknapp wanted him why didn't he buy him then.

Much was presumably, along with Phillips, scouted by an employee of our club. We paid at least 5 mill for each of them but on what basis and is the guy who scouted them still employed, if so why!!!

We have a revolving door re players with some on here suggesting paying the equivalent of 1.5 mill for Campbell (part exchange) is good business when we could have got him for half that.

We have no long term plan, poor scouts and always pay over the odds as we are always desperate to get players in. How not to run a football club!
