I think he can still do well for us as we drop down a couple divisions.

personally i would rather have an on form Barton to Faulin any day. But i would rather see a hard working English midfielder , like Gerrard or Lamphard to a play acting South American ( not that i`m calling Faulin this ,before i get jumped on ).Originally posted by Geng View PostEvery two years we seem to have the same boring national debate when England are knocked out of a major tournament by a smaller country who know how to hang on to the ball and make us look like a bunch of headless James Milners.
Why are [Costa Rica, Chile, Croatia, whoever] so much more skilful than us? How comes they can hang on to the ball when our Top Top Premier League Stars cannot? Why can't any of our players read the game, get into good positions, and move the ball around intelligently?
The above post should be Exhibit A.
Only in England could Faurlin be considered overrated compared to Barton and co.Rangers,Scooters ,Tunes and Trainers

very few come back from one serious knee injury, never mind what he's been through. Gazza was the classic example - he did come back, but he was never the same as the mk1 version.Originally posted by MattyRangers View Posthis knees are shot
I visit a Prof who is a knee specialist, and we talked about sports injuries, thats how mine originated. The main problem is that serious wear and tear on a load bearing joint requires partial or full replacement, and should not be an option under 50.

totally agree , he's a div 1 player at bestOriginally posted by vespa View PostHe wont be back stronger than before ,he`s an injury prone liability ,even when he was fit he was too light weight ,gave the ball away too easy and probably the most over rated player weve had for years . We need to get shot of Faulin at the first opportunity .

Would have to massively amend his game to stand any chance of a top flight return and the modern day player requires a midfielder to be a jack of all trades
I would love to see him just sitting in the middle of the park picking up the ball, dictating play and passing it about bit like Pirlo but were not and never will be good enough to carry that type of player. For me that type of role is the only way he will make his way back as charging up and down the pitch jumping in to challenges I fear will only result in similar injuries

I can't be bothered to read the rest of the comments on here, but this is the best of them. I liked him too and he was good at passing (most of the time) also at tackling and decent in the air. Unfortunately 3 ACL injuries in 3 seasons is a career ending scenario.Originally posted by MattyRangers View PostLove Faurlin and think he was a fantastic player but, let's be honest, his knees are shot. I think he's a write off at this level of football.

lol,he was not a div 1 player at all. Jeez
He was decent enough in the premiership. Especially when he had a strong midfield partner alongside him. Regading his situation now, It would surprise me very much but I would love to be proved wrong. We could indeed really do with magnificent crosser of the ball in our CC squad next season. This is mo pstrobably where we will play next year, make no mistake about.
Another thing is that people from W12 especially or wherever the ...... they are coming from want the Club to stay as aFamily Club, but would you believe it;; a player like Faurlin who actually has played for this club through good and bad times has to take the ####. Jeezzes. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Argentinian or not, Faurlin bleeds blue and white... Im not sure many of Our others players do it.
Rant over.Last edited by Shania; 23-01-2015, 08:02 PM.QPR

None of that means we have to rate the player or the club owes him a living.Originally posted by Shania View PostRegading his situation now, It would surprise me very much but I would love to be proved wrong.
