..said the other day he isn't a wideman....Sad thing though we...Harry obviously ain't using him right.
We must find a way to get him in the right place, and play to his strengths

Players out of position on sat:

            Vargas (right wing)
            Fer (left mid)
            Clint (left back)
Isla (really a wing back/ midfield player tho in fairness has done v well at right back)
Calker (centre forward in closing minutes!)

That's stretching it a bit isn't it??? We're 1-0 down with minutes to go and throw a defender forwards in a last ditch attempt to equalise. Not like he was being expected to play there from the start...

Also, Vargas broke free on Saturday and had his chance to prove himself a striker but failed miserably....

Not good enough if you want to survive in the prem league. These clubs have a striker you can bring on for precisely these scenarios. This will not be the only game this season we are chasing a goal in the final minutes. If you think Steven Calker is our likely goal hero in those scenarios, I greatly admire your optimism.

I didn't say I thought he was a likely goal hero, I said he wasn't being played out of position to the extent you were suggesting which is a bit of a difference....

We'd already used all our subs up so there wasn't the option of bringing on a striker anyway... It does beg the question why Zarate wasn't used but presumably the potential creativity of Adel and Niko on the pitch was deemed to be worth it. No point in having loads of strikers and no-one to get them the ball...
