It was a loan swap I think? Saying that, I'd be fuming if we used our last domestic loan on Maloney, so maybe it was a permanent deal with Phillips going the other way on loan + cash, makes more sense.
Maloney hasn't done it since his injury, as you say, glad it's not gone through.
That is not entirely true according to their fans.
Maloney used to boss PL games for Wigan, if he was anywhere near that standard Wigan wouldn't be lying so low in the Championship.
Some of them say that he is too good for the Championship. Lack motivation these few last matches perhaps, but anyway weŽll see where he ends up and how he then will perform eventually.
