I must admit I was thinking along the same lines, very strange thread - not like he's gone and banged in 4 goals yesterday? personally think he is massively overrated and a bang average championship player at best.

If an "up and coming" player is what we need to buy in the January window, why not take a chance on someone like Gestede from Blackburn. His goal rate in the CC must be very high.

Wickham is a great shout but also Danny ings...if Burnley go down, we should really look at reuniting him with Charlie...Think they would be lethal and bring in defoe from Jan. He would be effective for another 2 years even if its from the bench.
