Couldn't agree more. Bloke has defo got plenty of talent, just needs to show it.

Like I said, a loan deal might be just the trick for Philips. Get him playing regularly and I think we'd see a top player. I defo wouldn't be looking to flog just yet.

I think there is a player in him but hes a confidence player and needs a run of games problem is he seems to be injured an awful lot and he don't get it

He's been here over a year now and realistically only played a hand full of stand out/good games. And like West says he also seem's to be injured a lot.... Agree with what is being said about him having potential, having talent, being the right build physically. But he's just not delivering.

A few goals in the ressies may seem like no big deal, but if it gives him some confidence, it could be a big positive for us.
              Good point Deeps.

Although I have to say, Phillips is by no means alone when it comes to poor finishing. In fact, I find it extraordinary just how bad some players are in front of goal. If you can't get a shot on target from within the 18 yard box, then it's probably because you're just useless. It almost seems fashionable to drag shots wide with no more pace than my granddaughter could manage, or when decent contact is made see them sail five or six feet over the bar.

He can do it. The manager hasn't let him have a real go at it. Phillips crosses are quality
                Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                And many more mistakes

We was all ready to write off bobby has a footballing joke. Now look what he has done. Harry should try him up front in the reserves and see what he can do if not sell him and swp together. Buy one get one free

We cannot afford to carry anyone in the premiership, they need to be flying from the off and if Matt can carry on scoring in the reserves to build up his confidence then we may have a worthwhile player coming off the bench.
I would keep him cos he has got it somewhere.

I think H has been more fair to him considering the return he's got from him , as I said earlier I did rate his potential highly but now I can't be arrsed with his attitude That he doesn't seem believe he should be playing against premier league sides

Agree. A loan deal would be perfect. He needs regular competitive games, not meaningless reserve games against poor opposition.
