Liability when the ball is at his feet. Some tidy saves.

          This.

Why does everything have to be either utterly brilliant or total rubbish on this board? Usually based on the last 90 minutes?

          Green did well tonight.

Don't forget to vote on the MOTM thread - it's always interesting to see who others chose for MOTM.

Green was top class today. Currently he is one of the best keepers in the Premier.

This thread sums up Green and his fans, sure any will say what a great save after recovering from the punched cross but the reality is he should never have come for it and got lucky when the player struck it straight at his face. Made decent save from Boyd but his distribution was awful, communication poor and moves his feet like he is running in concrete. Average keeper at this level and so overrated by some on here.

Yes he made some decent saves midweek but then got beaten from impossible angle that opened the floodgates. Doesn't matter how many good saves you make if you end up costing your team.

So Green was at fault for Ki's goal?

Agree with you that he is maybe overrated by some, but I think you are also being a big harsh on him. He has been an excellent keeper for us, performing consistently well for the last season or so. If he was as bad as your post seems to suggest, he would have been found out by now. Think we need to cut him some slack since he hasn't had a lot of protection this season and has already been shown as the busiest keeper in the league.

Maybe not the best all round keeper in the league but certainly one of the best on current form. IMO.

Any keeper at any level would be disappointed to be beaten from that angle and yes he should have saved it but as usual slow to move his feet to adjust and therefore get down. Would actually have been better to stay in his feet!

I think a keeper would be more disappointed to be beaten at the near post which is what I think he was covering and preparing for. Like you say it was a tight angle which you don't expect the shooter to go for. I don't think it's fair to put the blame on Green for that. It was just a good finish.
