That's how I would play it from now onwards. We have two defensive midfielders to protect the defence, and we have two playmakers in Taarabt and Fer in midfield, Hoilett to provide width and make space available in midfield, Austin to be focal point, Vargas to try and make runs.

That will only leave three at the back. I do agree that Taarabt needs to start against Liverpool playing just behind Austin.

Why would you drop Kranjcar who gives 100% and is in a good form? Keep Hoilett on th bench, he doesn' work hard. Agree about giving Taarabt a chance behind Vargas and Austin.

Because Kranjcar doesn't have pace and he would be limited on the wings, and the defence is too weak to play Fer, Taarabt and Kranjcar together in midfield.

This. We need to drop those that are having bad games/continuously making mistakes like Rio, Green, Isla (if playing at RB) etc. Adel 'might' give us something different but we need to start dropping those that deserve it first IMO.
