Defoe CHOSE to move abroad for big money. He CHOSE to end his prem league career and ply his trade elsewhere. Isn't that how people define a mercenary in football these days? If so, doesn't that tell you something about the man?
Just wondering....Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

It's quite possible that he chose to go out there because he thought it was the right time and that he would enjoy it. It's also quite possible that it is not all that he thought, and wants to come back. It's quite an upheaval to go to another country and culture and you never really know how much you will miss home until you have made the move.Originally posted by QPR Richard View PostDefoe CHOSE to move abroad for big money. Of course, it's much easier to pigeon-hole him as a mercenary.
