The problem with Mutch is that he doesn't do 78 step overs and a couple of 360's each game before playing a raking 70 yard pass from one side to the other before then running on to it himself and banging in a 40 yarder. The energy and dynamism he has already brought to the team is overlooked because he is a worker, a ball winner and a box to box player whose work goes unnoticed by so many. Sadly, I can see him being (very wrongly) the new whipping boy for many people that think every player on the pitch should be delivering a billy the fish type performance every week.

That doesn't surprise me in the least. Funny thing is JB got a heap of MOTM votes (I'm not saying they were undeserved) and all Mutch got was the usual pointless player/rubbish performance type jibes befitting of someone not perceived to be any good by some. I really don't follow this persistent need for some posters to have a player to hate on.

He has not had any impact since joining despite being attacking midfielder. Leroy Fer who is more defensive has had better attacking impact.

this i would have said none but i also believe we wouln't of hesitated in signind Defoe and making it 11 signing this summer and i may add probably the best transfer window we have had
