IMO Vargas is more of a winger than a CF, and looks his best when out wide from what I have seen of him. Barton will play you're right but for me on their days he is not as good as Sandro, nor Fer. That team I put up is player for player if all playing to the best of their abilitys that would be our best side IMO. Of course it won't happen though as the skipper won't be dropped, and will the likes of Vargas, Adel, & Fer be brilliant every week. Probably not or they wouldn't be with us.

Find it amazing that people are suggesting dropping Barton and not playing mutch for an out of condition adel who has recently (last 2 seasons) struggled with premiership football
Remember it's not the championship (which adel bossed) but the prem where players know how to negate a lot of his championship talentComment

And remember its a game that requires a formation, not about picking the best 11 individuals. We need someone to play on the left. So far I have seen it suggested we play Philips (a right winger), Kranjcar (who most didn't even want in the squad) and Vargas (who was supposedly signed as a striker). Adel can play high up the pitch on the left. Nothing against Mutch but where does he fit in?Comment

I was reading through this thread and there are so many best teams in there, I would be happy if HR picked any of them.
I think we have a very strong team now with some dept. Striker being the exception. Really looking forward to the rest of this seasonComment
