    Ale faurlin

Not saying it wd have changed the result but has harry been too hasty to cast off ale? Did he deserve to get dropped? Personally thought he was better than mutch against hull and think new signings have to earn their place. Surely if he wanted to blood fer it should have been from the bench. Ale is one of the few players who there has never been a single whisper about in terms of bad attitude, appears to have come back from two terrible injuries really well and is now our longest serving player. Last time we played at white hart lane he was our stand out player. Poor way to treat him imho and that is not out of sentiment but a level headed assessment of what he offers the side today.

Faurlin played well against Hull, was very surprised that he was dropped to the bench. Baffling.

Tony obviously agrees, because of his tweet. I think this was a way of saying that he should start in future.

Mutch has underwhelmed me a little since joining, which is why new signings should have to earn their place in the team, I agree.
Faurlin has got the passing ability that most of our squad don't possess.

Has to start next to Joey Saturday. Fer in front of them. Mutch has to be benched. Having been s hit twice now (plus, in spite of a bright start, against the Greeks) he needs to get his head right.

A subtle hint from the chairman, I agree.

I think Junior Hoilett should start instead of Mutch. He played well in preseason but then seems to have been forgotten. Not sure what the purpose of a preseason is (even though you are playing inferior teams) if the players who perform well are then dropped.

Agree with this, he could be the spark we need in that CAM spot.

We worked all pre season on a shape with JH playing in behind the strikers then come game time he is out.
                  Kept the faith!

All top points so far. Seems to be an odd strategy being deployed. Hoillett to start next game was in good form ore season and Faurlin to start until others prove there better option then him

Was Hoillett even sub on Saturday (couldn't find the subs mentioned anywhere). If not is it possible he is injured?

I went to three of the pre-season games (Orient, Shamrock, Athlone). Hoilett started all of them and was consistently useless, embarrassingly so when you consider the pub players he was up against in Ireland. No idea where this idea that he's in great form comes from.

Agreed re Ale. He's far and away our best player at working the ball forward (Barton hollywoods over the top don't count) and at controlling the tempo of a match. I'd be happy to see him and Barton start for the time being, with one of Fer & Mutch. And perhaps Barton dropped longer term. Depending on how Ale gets his form back and maintains it, of course.

One of those 'Hollywoods' should have produced a goal yesterday.

Best pass ive seen from a rangers player i can remember. People on here want him to stop trying those passes though, and to know his own limitations and just kick people and pass it short.
