I genuinely can't believe the meltdown on here after just two games.
We've got 6 new players in, 2 of which were playing their first game having barely been at the club for a few days. We're playing a new system and it's going to take time for the team to gel and get used to it.
The good news is we have a decent squad of players now and will probably make one or two additions before the window closes. Vargas will get his clearance and we'll get better.
Good players don't become bad players overnight so all this criticism of Fer, Mutch and Isla is ridiculous. Give them a chance to get settled.
Dunne is a great pro but probably too slow nowadays -thankfully we have Ned to come in. I think Faurlin needs to be given a run in the team, it always seems to be him who makes way but he's a class act and knows how to keep the ball and pass to a teammate.
Had a few things gone our way last week we'd have a point or 3 and nobody would have been so distraught at getting spanked by a ruthless Spurs side. They pressed us and played brilliantly yesterday - Pochettino will have them right up there at the end of the season. It was one of those days, we conceded 3 early on and there was no way back, but we'll improve and learn from that.
Hoddle will make sure we get the system right - the problems were not down to playing 3-5-2. Once the team is settled we'll cause a lot of other teams problems and if we can keep hold of Remy I think we'll stay up pretty comfortably.
It can't be all doom & gloom after 2 games. Just get behind them and enjoy it - things can and will get better!
