Now i'm not one to care about numbers but Remy being given the number 19 shirt suggests to me the club aren't confident of keeping him. He should be our number 10. Taarabt being handed the number 27 shirt means the club will be offloading him which is no surprise - good riddance I say.

Remy has said a few times before that Thierry Henry is his idol and that's why he was the number 14 at Newcastle. He also took the number 11 shirt at Marseille which SWP has taken off Faurlin. I'm probably reading too much into this but I think it's a little odd that our star player hasn't been given a traditional number
