I am a bit concerned about the relationship between Joey Barton and Glenn Hoddle. Hoddle was one of the few people who was not welcomed by Joey on twitter and as you know they had had several run-ins in the past. Hopefully they can both get past this.

The OP didn't put the point across properly , Diakite is off the scale and if the rumour did get posted in full people like you would say its ridiculous because it's truly astounding but believable from a French African.

As for Barton and Ferdinand I can well believe there's an issue try to take you're thick head out of your arris and think why they would have a problem. Ferdinand wants to bring the ball out and play the ball.... Barton wants to drop the deep as he always does and bring the ball out as well. Barton will be playing a different role if Ferdinand starts giving it the old Franz Beckenbaur as Ferdinand may command a zone on the pitch Barton is used to being in. This is what happens in football players get the hump in the workplace like anyone when they disagree about the way things are to be done.

Whether the OP is genuine or not - you're always going to get a more serious clash of egos at this level.

Take Barton for example: Last year he was (probably) the biggest fish in the pond........ Now he is most defiantly not........

So whether he can keep his ego, past experiences and ever lurking narcissistic side in his box remains to be seen given the new environment and increased stakes.

I certainly hope he can - as I think he was inspirational last season.
