Hull have excepted £12m for him after Hernandez turned down the chance to go to Southampton....... does that mean a price was agreed for Hernandez to go to Southampton and it was him who stopped the move?? If so would be interesting to know what the price was and maybe the bright lights of London would be a bit more tempting?..... great little player IMO.

Or bad news, as Hull will have money in their pocket to compete with us for more striking options. We could end up needing 2 ourselves, worst case scenario. Since they already have Jelavic, who scored against us last year I'm not seeing that as much as a plus for us hehe.Comment

True enough but the Long deal hasn't gone through yet so I doubt they will have a replacement ready to go on Saturday. As for Jelavic, whilst he did score against us for Everton, I don't personally rate him as a better all round player than Long.Or bad news, as Hull will have money in their pocket to compete with us for more striking options. Oops - just watch him go and have a blinder now#standuptocancer

I'd back Charlie to get at least 10-12 goals this season. Natural born goalscorer.
Shane Long is a decent bottom half of the PL striker and is worth about £6m tops (in my opinion) which is about as much as I would expect us to pay for Deeney.Comment

Who is paying that? Personally think that's a lot better value than £10m for Deeney. He may not have set the Prem alight but very good, battling all round centre forward for a lower half Prem club. Prob in a minority but I'd love him at the Rangers. All this talk of "right sorts" he always seems that with nobs on.
£12m.. Does seem steep but i`d still rather pay the extra £2m and go for long over Deeney,,,
On his day he`ll give defenders the complete and utter runaround, there`s a lot more to his game than hitting the net but he aint too bad at that either...
Proven Prem player/goalscorer, aint too many of them on the market..Comment
