This whole Isla thing is typical QPR transfer business though.. we have an excellent media team but I do feel they need to sharpen up on the transfer stuff.
They should be telling Isla and any new player do not post anything until we have announced it to be official.. they now look like they have egg on their faces IMO.

Mauricio Isla has completed terms on a season-long loan deal with QPR, with the London club awaiting work-permit confirmation.

This could be the reason for the delay. Since he was playing in an EU country and plays for the national team, I can't see that there will be a problem.

Comedy PR strikes again. Both TF and Isla tweeting away, apparently oblivious to the fact that until he gets a work permit it aint official. Only person who has stayed schtum is Harry, and thats a first.

Why can't anyone at LR learn to shut the fvck up until all the boxes are ticked? That way they'd get more coverage when finally unveiled.

I think it is possible that they did not find out about the work permit situation until later and everybody thought it was signed. He obviously had a work permit to play in Italy and I think normally that would just have transferred to the UK. Perhaps his work permit was about to expire (or had expired) and thus the delay.

I'd guess there is about a 0% chance of him not getting a work permit. Top International player, been playing in EU for 7 years. Just gotta wait out for confirmation.

that's just it Mel - we are supposed to be a professional outfit...... it's someone's JOB to figure out possible pitfalls (CEO re transfer issues), and work permits aren't exactly a new development. Never a dull day though.

Wouldn't matter if we didn't go public in a half arsed way pre clearance.

Does it really matter? Why is ot actually bothering people so much? Bit silly isnt it?
Hes a rangers player and they let us know a bit early before they can unveil it as official. Nothing will change the fact that he will be in the hoops in two weeks.
Dont want to sound like TW but some people really do get affected over a load of old bowlarks. Dont worry be happy. It will not affect your life in any way whatsoever nor will it affect your football team that you support either.
Worry about what to have for lunch, cos honestly that is so so much more important to your well being than this transfer not being 'official' till later.

.... you are missing the point. In the great scheme of things forums don't really matter. It's all relative. But within the minor cosmic context of QPR, getting little things right sends out a message that we're for real and no longer a liitle bit of a joke.

That's what the Club is doing and why the deal has not been announced.

Unfortunately with social media this things get announced before they happen. We complain about things not being announced official until later, but this is a prime example of why that does not happen.
