I go with this but don't see us paying for Rhodes if Remy stays but if Remy goes could be a completely different story

Would imagine/hope we would target Rhodes over Deeney should Remy go.

Fair enough, but thats a result in them becoming particularly shite since. They didn't splash nearly £10m on him to keep them in the Championship. Plenty of decent strikers score goals in that league for a fraction of that.

He could of stepped up to the premier league countless times in last 3 to 4 years. Even signed another contract. Think he has a fear. Rather b a great player who should of played in prem league than a player who failed in prem league. I put money on it he will never take that step to prem league. We will never get him

Del the original point was that the value for buyers was when Rhodes was at HT. You'd pay more for him now. None of which is hindsight. It was around the time Schmeichel was looking to get away from Leeds and we needed a keeper. That was flagged up too. We spent the money elsewhere, the rest is history.

Have we ever been in contact with him (or Blackburn)? regarding a transfer? Someone in the know?

I know Harry was asked (I think in the January transfer window) and he said no.

It depends If there is a release clause at certain conditions in his contract (PL club approach at certain price) .

And you can bet Hull will pay top dollar for him.. probably ALL of their Shane Long money so £12m.. Bit embarrassing that Balotelli is costing just £4m more than that...
