Dunne was superb, simple as that. No need to drop him right now. Simpson is a weak link though, and Phillips made a huge difference when he came on - more skilful, faster, and he can actually cross. But it looks like Isla will take that position from Simpson. On the left, Traore was okay. Hoilett isn't a wingback, he plays best in the hole, but he wasn't on long enough yesterday to really influence the game. 3-5-2 is growing on me. Before kick off on Saturday I was far less confident than I am now. I enjoyed the game and I think we can only improve from here. Against the top teams it's going to be tough, but there are plenty of others we should take points off.

Wouldn't say Dunne was superb, did ok but was found wanting a couple of times when he was out paced. I fear he will get hammered against certain speedy players and will be targeted by managers and coaches as our weak link. Love the guy immensely and don't want to see him made to look silly.

Phillips maybe yeah. But Hoilett no way, he's too lazy both physically and mentally (switches off).

Isla is better than either anyway, so expect him to nail down right WB.

We were absolutely dire in the second half at attacking their left back until Phillips came on.

I thought the 3-5-2 formation was ok but we dont really have the players to pull it off.....yet

Well Isla hasn't even played yet so we prob need to give him a chance!

Also we won't play a team of Hull's level every week. Most weeks sadly our wing backs will be called on to do a lot more defending.

I agree...we have players coming in that could probably pull it off. I'd bung yun at LWB though...Traore worries me defensively

yeah...a strange one but will be interesting to see what happens in the next few weeks as Traore wont cut it IMO

Baffled why would you have Matty Phillips a prodominately right footed at left wing back when we have Traore or Yun not a good descision SQuare Pegs round holes

I don't understand it either. Yun and Traore left, Isla and Simpson right. We've also got Phillips and Hoilett who play wide. It's CM and CF we need to focus on.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.
