Really hope he gets a contract but
      Is only a squad player
      Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
      And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

out of a squad of 25 I would hazard a guess up to 8 will hardly get a sniff of a PL start. So it makes sense to use O'Neil, Collison et al, as fillers so to speak
I must away now, I can no longer tarry
This morning's tempest I have to cross
I must be guided without a stumble
Into the arms I love the most

true and he could be useful as a squad player.Let's face it, QPR are not going to go on a spending spree again as they did with Hughes.

A couple of big signings i.e Culker and the Ajax striker along with Ferdinand and maybe one or two other free transfers. any others will probably be loans.

Going to need at least one midfield player of a lot higher quality than O'Neil if we are to stay up.

no harm taking him on tour but there's no point having him here next year

according to dave mc o'neil is not going to get contract:

With Rangers confident of improving their midfield options, the out-of-contract Gary O’Neil has been told the club have no plans to offer him a new deal despite inviting him to join their pre-season trip to Germany. O’Neil featured as Charlie Austin’s goal gave Redknapp’s side a 1-0 win against Rot Weiß Erfurt on Tuesday evening.
