Good interview. Liked the bit about Tony looking him in the eye to see if he still has the hunger, and also that he had way more lucrative offers elsewhere. Also for his affection (we must hope genuine) for the club and some of our old players. Get a lot better vibe than from some of our signings in recent years whose only knowledge of the club was probably that we paid high wages. Welcome Rio and hope you become our new Frank Mclintoch.

Looks like he really wants to be here. That's a big bonus.

Agree. Great interview on player with Rio. Clearly here for the right reasons, as if we didn't already know that, and he has a definite soft spot for QPR which can only be a good thing. Also made the point about being a team man plain and simple and wont be going into the dressing room with any ego but just want to join the team and work ethic.

Already showing signs of the calibre of the professional he is and he will be a fantastic asset for QPR both on and off the field imo. Great, great signing.

Also heard on Sky the bit about Harry playing 3 at the back.... interesting..... assuming a back 5 in reality with wing backs allowed slightly more licence to break forward. So most likely Traore, Onouha, Rio, Caulker / Dunne / Vlaar, Simpson...... not bad at all.

Decent player is Rio,I know the older I got in the game as a centre half the better I got.not on Rios standards.I was much better!! Honestly think he's gonna be a diamond for us this season.
