People might agree with martin but the fact is as harry said yesterday we have 15 squad players. So what do you people want a squad of 20? As said previously we need 3 or 4 first team players to compliment last years first 11 but we also need squad players thats a fact.
We have to have some depth as we saw last year losing a player like austin and not being able to replace him with even someone of half his calibre really screwed us up.

Accept the financial issues but need to remember our team last year really lacked pace, consequently sat very deep and didn't have the midfield to get players up to support Austin hence the lack of goals. Austin will not be as effective in the prem so unless we bring some in or change the style we are in for a long old season.

I agree mate, last year we got away with some great team performance but quality wise we lacked massively. Not digging the players out because of that. They got the job done in the end but the prem is a different ball game. We must add quality to our gritty performances to have anty chance of staying up.

All we want as fans is a chance and atm our squad isnt good enough imo. We definitely need more pace and creativity in midfield. We didnt support charlie ebough last year. Hoilett never crosses and loses the ball and to many side way balls.
If phillips is fit he will be a new signing as good player but another winger needed and 2 cm are needed. We need a engine in the middle park and also someone who has that creative spark to pick a forward ball. Thats why im a advocate of taraabt at present.

It is more complex than an either / or. Many have found a mid course which works.

Our acquisitions team (yeah, right) fvcked it up last time round and there is every prospect of that happening again, albeit for different reasons. It's a very simple financial equation: accept a one season visit to the prem, get relegated, complete rebuilld under new manager (ie the plan until the 90th minute), or make a decent fist of staying up. Which requires investment. TF's call.

This. The notion cheers me up. But we badly need a central midfielder this side of the start if the season. Badly. And a CB.
