    Nothing about double standards.

    Look at each scenario separately.

As for his resale value, djilbri cisse suffered two of the worst leg breaks ever seen on a football pitch and still went on to be bought for millions by teams. Not saying that will be the case with faurlin and that's why i said its a risk but there is a chance that could happen.

Personally i cant see it happening with faurlin, sadly, but i can understand why the club have sorted him with a years contract.

With Bobby he came in and done fairly well for a few games but do i think the club should cave in and give him whatever he wants? No

Double standards on here ....because Faurlin been with us and was a good player....maybe he will be again...then again maybe not.
BZ had a great end to the season best i've seen of him,
Agree there is potentially no resale value as he signed one year contract which means in 6 months he can leave on a free on a bosman

Again I remember Ale in the season under NW when we won the champs, and again will be delighted to be proved wrong. I do sometimes get a bit lost in sticking to my view over an individual
when the most important thing is the squad itself, and if the individual is playing well it will obviously benefit the team.
Good point as always west btw.

Back playing by September/october (unless i have missed something and he is good to go from the off) so good few months to prove his fitness and if he has 'still go lt it'. That then earns him a new contract if it works out. If it doesn't play out like that and he is well off the pace all season/suffers further injuries then i would have no issue with the club cutting him loose.

Zamora turned down Millwall apparently, my Millwall mate reckons he went for talks yesterday. No surprises there, Millwall wouldn't pay anything like what we've probably offered him to renew.

A useful 5th choice of the bench for the last 20 mins. But I'm happy if my last recollection of him for QPR is at Wembley after 89:50.

if he thinks he can do better elsewhere, let him go and I will just remember him as "oh Boby Zamora" - a Wembley hero rather than Zimmer frame Bobby.

According to a few friends of mine who work at the club, Bobby was actually at Millwall training and done a few sessions.

Strange, guess he really is keeping his options open as he currently is technically not our player.

Word is he was on unreal amounts of money with us.

Pretty much saying English players expect too much money and that its no wonder many clubs go the foreign route

Really? That's a bit full on actually training with a club who want to sign him, sounds like he wants to go there and is trying to show he can still compete.

Though I still think a fully fit zamora would be a good squad player..... obviously on a lot lower wages

Can do whatever he likes can't he? He's not tied to any club at the moment.

From what Ian Holloway said about the meeting with Zamora & Millwall there is no way he's joining there. They cannot get anywhere near his required salary!

Of course he can do what ever he likes, just thought it was strange he'd train with a club that was after him that's all Tarbie....
