Rio has been offered a place at so many clubs all over the world, so he will ne seen as a real big marquee style signing so the club wont want to announce it until he can do pictures in the kit and be around for untold press. Oh and i would have a pound hes named captain as well.

facto may be on to something here. it doesn't all fit together - especially the rio contract. would we really be slashing the wages of everyone that's being offered a new contract just to offer rio £80k (especially if cashley is really only getting £35k at roma)?

caulker is slightly different - relatively low wages and some resale value.
