This maybe true but I just don't think anyone else wants him? We are probably paying him way above the going rate so makes it a bit rich for most medium size clubs, the big boys aren't interested I suspect.

this is the baffling bit... i'm sure clubs know his release fee, his wages should be affordable to some clubs (newcastle must have paid something like it last season), but no one seems that interested in a proven premier league forward.

There is a clause, one million per cent . He wouldnt of signed for a relegation certainty club otherwise. Clause has no time limit either. Anyone who thinks otherwise is dreaming.

I think a lot of people are forgetting something about contracts.

There is always room for maneuver if the parties involved are willing to deal. Countless examples of contract stipulations being quietly shoved to one side.... Plus there is another scenario: Remy being loaned again. It could happen.

I cant find the link to it now but it was a while ago when he went to Newcastle and Harry was wittering on about release clauses,TF was interviewed and was asked just that question,he stated there and then there was no release clause and in fact he got on very well with Remy and wanted him to stay and said he would only be going for a decent fee if that was the case and not on the cheap,it was broadcast on the offy at the time,if you ask me I think Harry wants him gone but I know who I prefer to believe on the release clause bit !!

Read the wording of that though mate, Harry said "I wouldn't know what he'll do, but I think he's got a buy-out clause which is at a reasonable level. Not much more than we paid for him,".

Harry hasn't actually confirmed anything here, the fact he said "I think" is a massive get out clause. Maybe Harry's ploy was simply to generate a bit of attention in the player early doors, maybe he knows full well that there is no clause or that the clause is at a much higher price than the 8-10m that is being touted around!
