Prefer a flat back 4 . 3 centre halves seems excessive and a waste off a midfielder. Wing backs getting caught too far forward with slow centre halves covering would concern me.

If we did get someone like lescott or Rio then yes, they could swap with the likes of Dunne playing that sweeper type role, we would then have to sign a few pacey Cb's like Michael Manncienne, Ridgewell, etc and keep the likes of Mbia to make that system work.

all about the wing backs in that formation and we don't have the full backs to do it. Simpson certainly isn't wing back material.

Lets not talk about bringing in the likes of M'bia and Mancinenne back.

Definitely not! Especially with Hill and Dunne in the defence and now the possibility of Rio joining them. If we were to play this formation we need a young, sharp, quick defence. With all due respect that's not what we have.

im not sure if he is perhaps too set in his ways or bold enough to try it in the prem....for me hill/dunne just wont do in any way shape or form so that leaves us with ned how about this
