These reports are going from bad to worse. We've been linked with Cole Ferdinand Lampard Cole and now Defoe. If some fans got their way, half the outfield team would be made up of this lot "all day long" (whatever that means) which is about right because I doubt this lot would get through a day let alone a tough prem season.

I want my club to have a team made up of good young professionals, not a load of old has-beens. It's ok to have a few good seasoned pros, but not half a team of players well past their sell-by dates.

I would maybe take him on a short loan, depending on circumstances.

But it's worrying if Defoe is still one of our primary targets. TF needs to block these moves for Arry's old favourites or we're gonna get stung again.

Defoe would definitely only be a loan consideration from January to March, I'm not sure how he will be physically at the end of a grueling MLS season, he's doing quite well so far, scored the only goal of the match on a penalty yesterday (Saturday)
