The club needs to start thinking about breaking even, we can't expect the board to make a loss each and every month. Then you have the transfer window and expect them to spend millions in there too, and don't forget the training ground and new stadium.Originally posted by twranger View Postdon't care what any player earns.....luckily not me that's paying them.

Can't believe some of the comments on here, so let me get it right we don't want to pay prem wages but also don't want to be relegated. The only teams that didn't pay prem wages in recent years went down i.e. Blackpool. It's not the wages it's making too many changes and getting in the wrong players. Hill will get a contract as will Oneill and Faulin. Jenas might due to his injury and they will try to activate Mbia's option, all the rest will go including Green and Traore unless they take massive pay cuts.
As for signings, look at last season, Ferdinand played in all Man U,s big games, still good player and miles better than anything we have at the minute. Him and one of Lescott and Williams would be very positive and give us a solid defense, remember it's the bottom ten teams we are competing against not the top six. Add a left back, if Traore doesn't take his pay cut, a powerful midfield player and a decent striker (probably Gomis) and we are not far off. There will be a few others but got to remember we have a massive wage bill due to players like Zamora, SWP, Johnson, Young, Park, Green, Traore etc so all in all should be in decent shape.

Well it would make sense if he's deemed not good enough to play in the prem and therefore not worth another playing contract, and if we dont need more coaches.....Originally posted by Jimmy Rabbit View PostThink Clint will stay in a coaching capacity. Brings to much to the squad & club to just let him walk. Makes absolutely no sense.

Park seemed a great signing at the time, too. Man U have a talent for squeezing the last out of their players. V few of their ex stars look anything like the same player once they leave once they are surrounded by poorer players for what must seem like much poorer clubs. Signing someone like Lescott at 29 odd would be a coup - Ferdinand at knocking on 36, not so sure unless he is alongside someone a hell of a lot quicker than Richard Dunne.

I hope we don't sign anyone playing in the WC before it ends.

Well said NW. Dunne fills perfectly the role of (very!) experienced Premier League defender for us and we'd be crazy if we don't keep him on for at least another year - any new defenders should be younger and hungrier. We do need to add a good central defender but TBH I'm more worried about where the goals are going to come from.Originally posted by NW_Hoopz View PostIt's taken this long to get the dressing room back under control, for ****s sake don't ruin it again by bringing in wholesale changes on massive wages ........'Only a Ranger!' cried Gandalf.
