The thing is, we can't just release everyone (or virtually everyone), as we'll then need to bring in another 8, 9 or more.
Which is where we kept going wrong the previous 2 seasons in the Prem. We'll have to keep some, just to maintain some stability.
Plus, didn't HR say to TF in the dressing room at Wembley, "get me these 3 players" ? Which suggests a change of direction from before.
It's unlikely Cesar will go and has apparently been told to report back for pre-season after the World Cup. Green is out of contract and isn't worth anywhere near the 50k a week he is on so unless he accepts a dramatic pay cut will almost certainly go and as he left West Ham for more money it seems unlikely he will take such a pay cut.
Traore is injured more than he is fit, is a left back who cantu defend and hasn't really set the world alight left side midfield, think there are better options out there for the money. Was also Rumoured to be one of the disruptive bunch until his mates all left and he had little choice.
