Can't argue on Lampard's quality but I'd question him wanting to play for us. Can only see a last payday move in the same sort of vein as Jermain Defoe.

Would rather we go and spend money on Craig Bryson. Got years ahead of him.

Good. Don't want him. He's not what we should be looking for. How many people whinged about the squad age?

Plenty of good midfielders around. Cheaper in wages and younger.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Thank ****, too much outlay for too little yield.

Ferdinand can jog on too for the same reason.

35/36 year olds on £100k a week, have we learned nothing?

Totally agree hoop, build a young squad capable of doing well in prem/ bouncing straight back if we go down

Not one single person has said sign him on 100k a week. I as many have said would love rio or frank ON THE RIGHT CONTRACT. Is it likely they'll come on 40-50 bags a week? No, but if not, then we don't sign them, simple really

Even at 40 or 50 long ones I'd be popping my sphincter.

I just don't see any value in signing multiple OAPs in what is supposed to be a "lesson learned" situation.

There has to be many better options open to us than this, surely?

And if he does, don't sign him, it's really not that difficult. These lads so late in their careers shouldn't be thinking about money, they should be looking at the best challenge, where they can really make a difference.
Now I know that's wishful thinking but that would be how I'd sell the idea to them

Yes but signing 2 of England's most decorated players in history for our first season or 2 back in the prem is not just signing any old oap IMO.

I absolutely get where you're coming from, but we need to set our stall out early to stop the agent sharks circling and tempting with has been players.

Lampard and Ferdinand are out of contract why? Because they're too old. Fact.

Too old for 2 of the biggest clubs in the world yes, but us? Na, doubt it. Can see lampard adapting his game in a giggs esque way and playing til he's 40. Not asking Rio to play 40 games but his experience to someone like onouha would be worth more than 100k a week let alone 50k IMO.

But I think this is all pointless anyway as much bigger clubs than us will be in for them I fear
