Just read through this post, there is some really average players mentioned, Smith at Leeds and macguire are no where near good enough for the prem. Think you will also be surprised at who stays and has their contracts renewed, don't think the following will be far off.

In my view we should keep it very simple. Ensure all 18 in the playoff final are signed up except Murphy and Krancar. I would replace Murphy with younger prospect, in particular McCarthy of Reading - superb keeper. So yes, Green, Simpson, Hill, Dunne, Onuah, Barton, O'Neill, Doyle, Austin, Hoilett, Krancar (see and replace with Morrison). Plus Henry, Traore, Hughes, Yun, Morrison (Buy £8m), Zamora. That's 17. Add Phillips and Faulin. Then add 6 = Granero, Dawson, Lescott, Kane (£8m), Parker, Townshend (£10m).

Keep the squad together with the magnificent team spirit. We need all the experience we can get - don't go for 8-10 new players.

All i know is that if we build a squad to fight against relagation then that's the type of season we'll have, on the other hand if we buy to be sucessful then that's what we'll be.
